The service

tocsin! is server and network monitoring, currently in early access. Pre-release software changes, breaks, and sometimes sleeps through the night. During early access the service is provided as is, with no warranty and no service-level commitment.

Accounts

Any valid Google account or confirmed email address may create an account. Keep your credentials to yourself; what happens under your account is yours. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or these terms.

Acceptable use

Monitor only systems you own or are authorized to monitor. No unlawful use. No probing, disrupting, or overloading the service or anyone else's systems through it.

Your data

Monitoring data you send us stays yours. We process it to run the service and for nothing else. See the privacy policy.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed alerts or downtime, especially during early access. A monitoring tool is a second pair of eyes, not a substitute for your own.

Termination

You can leave at any time; ask and your data goes with you. We can end or suspend the service or an account, with notice where practical.

Changes and law

These terms may change; material changes get emailed to confirmed addresses, and continued use means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA.
